About Me

I am passionate about coming to psychotherapy from a social work background. My Master of Social Work comes from the Brown School at Washington University, where I studied mental health and a systems approach to family therapy. I have received post-graduate training in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Stan Tatkin’s Psychological Approaches to Couples Therapy (PACT). My practice settings have included universities, eating disorder treatment centers, and non-profit agencies where I worked with grieving families.

In addition to my therapy practice, I have served as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Louis University and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, supervising graduate level social work students. I have guest lectured often at the Brown School and have both advised and presented to researchers on raising children with special needs.

I served three years on the Board of Psychotherapy Saint Louis, one as President.
